Description

The 2026 CAS Cross-Functional Framework for Advancing Health and Well-Being addresses the complex and evolving health and well-being needs of campus communities through a collaborative, institution-wide approach. Designed for work that crosses organizational and functional boundaries, the Framework guides the development and effectiveness of cross-functional teams and provides standards for collaboration, communication, assessment, strategy, and leadership.

The 2026 edition is organized around five key areas: Charge & Operating Principles; Continuous Improvement & Assessment; Internal & External Communication; Strategy, Approach, & Processes; and Team Organization & Leadership. The Framework can be used to design new teams, evaluate existing teams, support continuous improvement, and strengthen coordinated efforts to advance health and well-being across the institution.

Used alongside relevant CAS functional area standards, the Framework provides a comprehensive approach to assessing and strengthening institutional efforts that support healthier campus environments and help students and communities thrive.
