Description

The functional area resource paper (FARP) is an effort to demonstrate how our standards can be used in diverse contexts. This resource focuses on the various uses that can be applied in the housing and residence life area, certainly one of the most expansive and comprehensive functions in higher education. Housing and residential life intersects with so many parts of a campus community. It is where students may live and learn, participate in activities and events, and eat and socialize. The functions that comprise this area are farreaching and complex and very often require complex approaches given the ways that students interact with staff and paraprofessionals to create community in a safe and holistic way.
